Fiber Optic Closure

This installation specification apply to TGJS-K PLC type fiber optic closure,which explain how to install in the right way.

TGJS-K can be used in aerial-mounting,which provide straight and divergent, spectroscopic and related joint protection for all kinds of fiber cable type. IP65. 4 inlet ports,18 FTTH cable outlet port.

2. Product Structure

The product is mainly composed of a closure cover, a closure body, support parts (including adapter holder), splice tray, cable fixing unit and closure fixed part. The closure body is a tool free open type structure, which is sealed by a silicon rubber sealing material

4. Preparation and installation of optical cable

4.1 Open the three door Clips above the button (Picture 1), open the door cover and the box body into a vertical angle of 180 degrees, and then down to open and flip the inner metal frame, as shown in Picture2.

Note: Pay more attention on Splitter cable on bracket and in the tray during operating.

4.2 Cable Stripping

4.2.1 make the fiber stripping point of 800mm far from the cable.

Note:1Cable length should be sufficient to continue

             2The user can customize the length of the optical fiber stripping if they need.

4.2.2 At the strip point, across cutting around the oversheath with  special opening knife.Then with a hacksaw strip carved on the scratch (but not cut).Then gently bend back and forth.Remove the steel strip with the outer sheath and expose the inner protective layer.

Note:take care of stripping cable.please strip cable subsection when it is difficult to strip.

4.2.3 Leave 5mm from the incision,cutting off the Inner protective Tube above method,pick out all fiber loose tube, clear ointment, and then 50mm cut off the strengthening core from the outer protective layer.Cutting across carefully Polyethylene inner protective layer and one around of aluminum strip, Please be careful when doing this in order to avoid to damage fiber loose tube to cause stripping failed.(see Picture3);


4.2.4 Clean up the Optical fiber loose tube and reinforce core.The direction of rubbing should from the aluminum-plastic composite shielding cut off place to outward rather than in a negative direction,which that can avoid to broke the loosing casing.

4.2.5. Don’t cut the cable (straight)

4.3  Preparation and installation of optical cable

    4.3.1 Remove the silica gel cable seal from the box body, as Picture 5, cut out the appropriate size of the hole according to the optical cable diameter (hole diameter of the optical fiber diameter of 1/2).


4.3.2 Follow as Picture 6,The open cable stripping good seal cable into the hole, and penetrates into the stainless steel hose clamps, and the external cable fixed winding electrical tape (diameter 20mm).



4.3.3 As picture7 shows,The prepared optical cable is put into the groove at the bottom of the corresponding box, and the optical cable seal is pressed into the sealing piece until the sealing part is flat with the plane on the bottom of the box


    4.3.4 using Hose clamps to fix the inner fiber cable(as picture 8),then use metal plate to fix the optical cable reinforced core.(as picture9),finally,using plastic plate to fix the external cable. (asPicture10)

4.4Preparation and Installation of Cable

4.4.1 Optical fiber loose tube should be smooth without twist, around a circle at the bottom of the closure main body. Then put the Closure aside waiting of installation.

4.4.2 Fixed the circumvolution annular tubes with cable ties.Remove the loose tube after the fiber fused fiber disc along the inner edge to the maximum bending radius of coil, then the fused optical fiber.Remove the loose tube after the fiber fused fiber disc along the inner edge to the maximum bending radius of coil, then the fused optical fiber.As Picture11


5.  PLC splitter installation

5.1 Put the splitter on the lower tray with 3M glue,and turn around in the tray.just like Picture12


     5.2 Put the connectors of PLC into the adapters follow as Picture13.



6. FTTH cable installation

6.1 Put the ftth cable input the adapters,and lead to the cable alone the closure body just as Picture 13 shows.

6.2 Pressing the FTTH cable into the corresponding FTTH cable seal slot as Picture14,Then as follow Picture15to press the lock block.

7. Aerial hook installation

As picture1shows,fixed the stainless aerial hook on the both sides of the closure with screws.


8. The silica gel seal box into the box slot, a box cover, and press on the three locking button, to complete the installation.
